LiveCue ("we", "us") is a Chrome extension and a web app (livecue.in/app) that turn the speech in a call or a browser tab into text, spot the questions and answer them with AI. LiveCue is run by Adarsh Kanaujia, India. This policy explains what we collect and why.
The short version: we never receive, record or store your audio, and we never read the web pages you visit unless you ask: the extension's optional everyday tools read only the text you select, or the email you're replying to, when you click one of their buttons, and LiveCue keeps none of that text. Chrome turns speech into text, on your computer in private mode and otherwise through Google's speech service. Only text reaches LiveCue: the questions you ask, the lines of conversation sent with them to get an answer, and anything you choose to add, such as notes about the job or the text of your CV. LiveCue also keeps the text of each call with your session for 30 days, so it can show you a summary and the full transcript (you can turn this off on your Account page). If you turn on Hear me in the web app, it also hears your microphone, and your side of the call is kept too.
How speech becomes text
- The Chrome extension (version 3 and later) listens to the sound of the tab you click the LiveCue icon on, from when you press Start until you press Stop or close its panel. It never captures the tab's picture. Earlier versions of the extension listened through your microphone instead.
- The web app listens to the sound of a tab you choose to share; the picture is switched off right away.
- In standard mode, both use Chrome's speech recognition, which sends the audio to Google's speech service. In private mode Chrome turns speech into text on your computer, and the audio doesn't leave it.
- Hear me (the web app, only if you turn it on): the web app also listens to your microphone, from Start to Stop, so that after the call you can see how you answered. Your speech becomes text the same way, in standard or private mode. Your words aren't shown during the call and aren't used to answer questions. It is off until you say yes, it hears your microphone even while you're muted in the meeting, and you can pause it during a call or turn it off anytime in the app's Settings or on your Account page. It isn't in the Chrome extension yet.
- Either way, LiveCue receives only text. We never receive, record or store audio.
What we collect
- Account information: your email address, used to create and secure your account, send sign-in codes, and tell you when your credits run out (one email, at most once every two weeks). If you sign in with Google, we also receive the name and profile picture link Google shares.
- Your questions: the text sent to get an answer: a question LiveCue spotted in the conversation, text you typed or sent with Ask, or, with Answer now, the latest lines of the conversation. In the web app and in version 3 of the extension, each request carries the recent lines it needs, so details such as numbers go with the question: at most 10 lines, most often from the last 45 seconds or so.
- Notes about the job or meeting: only if you write them. We keep them with your account and send them with your questions for Recommended and Expert answers, so the answers fit. You can change or clear them anytime.
- Your CV profile, saved jobs and prepared answers: only if you add them. Your CV file is read in your browser and never uploaded: phone numbers, email addresses and links are removed on your computer first, and we keep only a short profile made from its text, short summaries of the jobs you save, and any prepared answers you ask LiveCue to write from them. You can edit or delete them anytime on your Account page, and deleting your CV deletes your prepared answers too.
- Usage records: your credit balance and a history of your questions (up to 500 characters of each), so we can show your usage and run the service.
- Your sessions: each call you use LiveCue in, in the web app or the extension, so you can look back at it on your Dashboard: its name (LiveCue's, or the one you give it), when it started and ended, where it happened (Google Meet, Zoom or Teams, when the extension knows), the job picked for your calls, the answer mode and language, the questions LiveCue answered with its answers (up to 500 and 1,500 characters), and counts such as answers, credits used and how fast the answers came. Sessions hold no audio. They hold the text of the call (below) and its summaries. You can rename, pin or delete any session on your Dashboard, or delete all of them on your Account page; deleting a session also removes the text of its questions from your history.
- The text of each call: unless you turn off "Keep the conversation of my calls" on your Account page, what the other people in the call said, as text in time order with when each person talked (up to about 400,000 characters), so your session can show a summary and the full transcript. With Hear me, your side too. The text of the whole call is deleted 30 days after the call began. The summaries made from it (a short one after the call, and a detailed one if you ask for it) stay with the session until you delete it.
- With Hear me: for each session it was on in, what you said after each question LiveCue answered (up to 2,000 characters each); numbers about how you spoke (your talk time and the other people's, your words per minute, how many filler words such as "um" or "basically", how quickly you started answering, your longest answer); and the text of the whole call, the other people's words and yours, in time order (up to about 150,000 characters). We use it only to show you that session. The text of the whole call is deleted 30 days after the call began; the rest stays with the session until you delete it.
- Web app session steps: when you use the web app, it records which setup steps each session reached (such as opening the floating window, sharing a tab with sound, the first words and the first answer), how long each took, the speech mode, whether it was the first session on that computer, and the kind of computer and browser. These records hold no transcript, no questions and no account details, and their times are rounded to the hour. We use them to find and fix the places where setup goes wrong. If a browser can't run the web app, we note that, with only the kind of computer and browser.
- AI apps you connect: if you connect LiveCue to an AI app such as Claude or ChatGPT, we keep which app it is, what you allowed it to do, its daily credit limit, and when it was connected and last used. For each LiveCue tool the app uses, we keep which tool, when, whether it worked and the credits it used, never what was in it.
- Payment information: handled entirely by our payment processor (Razorpay). We never see or store your card, UPI, or bank details.
Everyday tools in the Chrome extension
The extension's selection toolbar and LiveCue Reply for Gmail and Outlook are off until you turn them on. Turning one on is when Chrome asks you to allow it on the sites it needs: every site for the selection toolbar, and Gmail and Outlook for LiveCue Reply.
- The selection toolbar, and the LiveCue entries in Chrome's right-click menu, send LiveCue only the text you selected (up to 4,000 characters) with the page's title and site name, and only when you click one of their buttons.
- LiveCue Reply reads the email thread you are replying to (who wrote each mail, to whom, when, and its text) only when you click LiveCue Reply, and sends it to LiveCue to understand the thread and write your reply. It never sends an email: the reply goes into your reply box only when you say yes, and you press Send yourself.
- LiveCue sends this text to its AI providers to get the answer and keeps none of it: not the selected text, not the emails, not the replies. It keeps only counts (how many actions you used each day, and how many replies it wrote and changed) for your free allowance and billing.
- You can turn either tool off at any time on the extension's Everyday tools page, or turn the toolbar off for one site.
What we do not collect
- We do not receive, record or store your audio.
- We do not use the picture of a tab: the web app switches it off as soon as you share, and the extension never captures it.
- We do not read the web pages you visit. The optional everyday tools read only the text you select, or the email you are replying to, when you click them (see above), and we do not store it.
- We do not sell your data to anyone.
How we use your information
- To generate answers to your questions via trusted AI providers.
- To manage your account, credits, and subscriptions.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service.
Third parties we use
- Supabase: authentication and database.
- Google: Chrome's speech recognition sends the audio (the meeting tab's, and your microphone's with Hear me) to Google's speech service to turn it into text (in standard mode), under Google's own privacy policy. If you sign in with Google, Google also confirms your email address to us.
- AI providers: process the text of your questions (with your notes about the job, and for Expert answers your CV profile and the job you picked), and of a CV or job description you add, and the text of a call to summarize it, to generate answers, profiles, prepared answers and summaries, for that purpose only.
- Resend: sends your sign-in code emails, and the email that tells you your credits have run out.
- Razorpay: processes payments securely.
- AI apps you connect (such as Claude by Anthropic or ChatGPT by OpenAI): only if you connect one, and only what you ask it to read or change in LiveCue: your email address, plan and credits, CV profile, saved jobs, prepared answers and preferences. The app's company handles that text under its own privacy policy. You choose what each app may do, and you can disconnect it anytime on your Account page, which stops it at once. LiveCue never sees your conversations with the app, and the app never sees your LiveCue password.
Data retention
We keep your account and usage data while your account is active. Your sessions are kept until you delete them, or until your account is deleted. The text of a whole call is deleted 30 days after the call began. Records of the LiveCue tools your AI apps used are deleted after 90 days. You can request deletion of your account and associated data anytime by emailing hello@livecue.in.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with encryption at rest. Access is restricted and audited.
Your rights
You can turn off Hear me at any time, and it stops at once. You may access, correct, or delete your personal data, and withdraw consent, by contacting us at hello@livecue.in. We respond in line with applicable law, including India's DPDP Act.
Children
LiveCue is not intended for users under 18.
