LiveCue for Microsoft Teams
LiveCue works with Microsoft Teams calls that are open in Google Chrome. It hears the call, spots the questions people ask and shows a clear answer on your screen within seconds.
First, open the Teams call in Chrome
LiveCue's web app listens to a Chrome tab, so join the call in the browser rather than in the Teams desktop app. When you open a Teams meeting link, choose Continue on this browser. You can also sign in at teams.microsoft.com in Chrome and join from there.
Then start LiveCue
- Join the Teams call in a Chrome tab on your computer.
- In another tab, open livecue.in/app and sign in.
- Press Start. When Chrome asks what to share, pick the Teams tab and keep Also share tab audio switched on.
- The LiveCue window opens and stays on top while you switch tabs and apps. When someone asks a question, the answer appears there within seconds.
LiveCue uses only the tab's sound, never its picture.
Prefer the Chrome extension? Add LiveCue to Chrome, open your meeting tab and click the LiveCue icon on it. LiveCue opens in Chrome's side panel, next to your call. Press Start and it hears the meeting tab directly, so headphones are fine too.
Good for
- Work meetings and reviews: when a question comes your way, a clear answer is already on your screen.
- Support and customer calls: get quick context on a feature or a policy instead of saying you'll get back to them.
- Training sessions: type a term into LiveCue and it explains it while the session keeps going.
During the call
- Answers arrive by themselves when LiveCue spots a question. You can also type a question in the Ask box at any time.
- Press Answer now to answer what was just said, or click a line in the live transcript to answer it.
- Choose how answers are written: Fastest gives a line or two, Recommended a few sentences, and Expert a fuller answer from your CV and the job you're going for. Expert comes with a paid plan.
- Add a few notes about the job or the meeting, and Recommended and Expert answers fit your situation.
- Pick English (US), English (India) or Hindi for the transcript.
Will your colleagues see LiveCue?
No bot joins your call, so the others in the meeting don't see LiveCue unless you show it to them. If you present, share a tab: a tab share never shows LiveCue. The web app's floating window also stays out of window shares. The extension's side panel is part of the Chrome window, so sharing that window shows it. Sharing your entire screen shows either one.
