LiveCue › Privacy explained

Does LiveCue record your calls?

No. LiveCue never receives, records or stores your audio. Here is what happens during a call, step by step. The privacy policy has every detail.

How speech becomes text

LiveCue hears only the tab you choose: the one you share with the web app, or the one you click the LiveCue icon on in the Chrome extension, and only after you press Start. Chrome's speech recognition turns the words in your call into text, using Google's speech service. In private mode, Chrome does this on your computer instead, and the audio doesn't leave it. Either way, LiveCue receives only text.

Hear me is different, and only if you want it: in the web app, LiveCue can also hear your microphone, so that after the call you see how you answered. It asks once, at your first Start, and stays off unless you say yes. Your words become text the same way, never show during the call, and are never answered. It hears your microphone even while you're muted in the meeting, so pause it with the "Hearing you" button when you like, or turn it off in Settings.

What LiveCue sends to answer a question

Only text: the question it spotted, or what you typed or sent with Ask. A question carries up to 10 lines said just before it, so details such as numbers go with it. If you add notes about the job, or a CV profile for Expert answers, those are sent with your questions so the answers fit.

What LiveCue keeps

The everyday tools in the extension

The selection toolbar and LiveCue Reply for Gmail and Outlook are off until you turn them on, and Chrome asks you first. When you click one of their buttons, LiveCue gets the text you selected, or the email thread you're replying to, uses it to write the answer or the reply, and keeps none of it. Only counts are kept, for your free allowance: how many actions you used today and how many replies were written. LiveCue never sends an email for you: you check the reply, put it in, and press Send.

What LiveCue never does
