Frequently asked questions
Short answers to the questions people ask most about LiveCue. Can't find yours? Email hello@livecue.in.
What is LiveCue?
LiveCue is a Chrome extension and web app that hears your call in a Chrome tab, spots the questions people ask, and puts a clear answer on your screen within seconds. It works on Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams and any tab with sound.
Who made LiveCue?
LiveCue was created by Adarsh Kanaujia, who designed and built it in India and runs it today. He has an MBA in International Business (Finance) from Symbiosis Institute of International Business, Pune. Read more on the About page.
Is LiveCue free?
New accounts get 10 free credits, enough for 10 answers, and no card is needed. After that you can buy a credit pack or subscribe. Writing down the conversation is always free.
What exactly is a credit?
One credit is one AI answer, whether LiveCue spotted the question in the call or you typed it. Transcription is free and unlimited. The only other things that use credits are builds you ask for on a paid plan, like your CV profile, and each shows its price before you confirm.
How much does it cost?
Credit packs start at ₹100 for 15 questions and never expire. Monthly plans add a new batch of credits every month. You can pay with UPI, card or netbanking. See pricing for every option.
Do subscription credits stack with purchased credits?
Yes. Everything goes into one balance: your plan adds its credits every month, and packs add theirs when you buy them. None of them expire, so nothing you paid for is wasted.
What happens when I run out of credits?
Transcription keeps working. Answers pause, and LiveCue shows a Buy credits link. Paying by UPI takes about 20 seconds and the credits appear straight away. You also get one email about it, and if you write to hello@livecue.in with your story, good stories get free credits.
Which apps does it work with?
Any tab in Chrome: Google Meet, Zoom on the web, Microsoft Teams on the web, webinar platforms, YouTube lives and online classrooms. See the guides for Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
Can I use LiveCue in Claude or ChatGPT?
Yes. Add LiveCue to Claude, ChatGPT or another AI app that takes MCP servers, with the address https://livecue.in/mcp, and sign in with your LiveCue account. The AI can then help you prepare interview answers in your words and save them to LiveCue, save the jobs you are preparing for and check your credits. You choose what it may do, and you can disconnect it anytime on your Account page. See Use LiveCue in Claude and ChatGPT.
Do I have to install anything?
No. Open livecue.in/app in Google Chrome on a computer, sign in, and share the meeting's tab. LiveCue floats in its own small window beside your call. If you prefer an extension, add LiveCue to Chrome and it opens in Chrome's side panel, next to your meeting tab.
Does it work on a phone?
No. LiveCue needs Google Chrome on a computer. On a phone you can still try the 1-minute practice interview to see how it works.
Does it work with headphones?
Yes. LiveCue hears the meeting tab's sound directly, in the Chrome extension and in the web app, so headphones are fine.
Can other people on the call see LiveCue?
Not unless you show it. LiveCue doesn't join the meeting. Share just the tab you're presenting: a tab share never shows LiveCue. The web app's floating window also stays out of window shares. The extension's side panel is part of the Chrome window, so sharing that window shows it, and sharing your whole screen shows either one.
Does LiveCue record or store my audio?
No. LiveCue never records or stores audio, and its servers never receive it, only text. Chrome's speech recognition turns the words into text using Google's speech service, or on your computer in private mode. Read what LiveCue hears and keeps.
Can LiveCue hear me too?
Yes, if you want it to. In the web app, turn on Hear me (LiveCue asks once, at your first Start) and it also listens to your microphone. After the call, your session shows how you answered: your talk time, pace and filler words, how quickly you started, and what you said to each question. Your words never show during the call, and LiveCue never answers them. No audio is kept, and the text of the whole call is deleted after 30 days. Pause it during a call, or turn it off in Settings. It isn't in the Chrome extension yet.
Which languages does it understand?
You can choose English (US), English (India) or Hindi for the transcript.
Is there a student offer?
Yes. Sign up with your university email (.edu, .ac.in or similar) and get 100 free credits with the code STUDENT100, once per account. See LiveCue for students.
Can I try it without signing up?
Yes. The 2-minute practice interview is free and needs no account.
